(11) Inspection of safety accessories 1. Pressure gauge: (1) When there is no pressure, check whether the pointer of the pressure gauge returns to the limit pin or to the zero position. (2) The calibration and maintenance of pressure gauges must comply with the relevant regulations of the metrology authorities; they should be calibrated before installation, with the date of the next calibration indicated, and they should be sealed with a lead seal after calibration. 2. Safety valve (1) The safety valve shall be removed from the pressure vessel, and subjected to disassembly inspection, maintenance, and calibration in accordance with the \"Requirements for Safety Valve Calibration\" in Annex III of these rules. After the safety valve passes the calibration, it shall be sealed with a lead seal and a calibration report shall be issued before it can be put into use ; (2) The new safety valve may be installed and put into use only after it has been adjusted according to its usage conditions and sealed with lead. 3. When a discharge device needs to be installed on a container and there are no special requirements, a safety valve should be preferred. When the pressure inside the container rises rapidly and high sealing standards are required, the material contained within the container can cause the safety valve to fail, or other situations may arise in which the safety valve is not suitable for use. In such cases, a rupture disc device should be employed to prevent rapid pressure increases under abnormal operating conditions, or as an auxiliary discharge mechanism. When there is a risk of fire or exposure to unexpected external heat sources that could require an increased discharge area, one or more rupture disc safety devices can be used in parallel with the safety valve. There is also the scenario of using a safety valve in series with a burst disc, which is intended to minimize the leakage of valuable, toxic, or other hazardous substances through the safety valve, or to prevent corrosive gases from the discharge pipelines from entering the safety valve. The series and parallel use of the aforementioned safety valves and rupture discs shall be carried out in accordance with relevant standard requirements
