Can metal materials be used for the converter flue cover? Is there a precedent?

As the title says. When communicating with the contractor for the 48,000 cubic meters per hour hydrogen production project (with a furnace temperature of around 1000°C), they said that they had previously used metal materials for the flue cover of the conversion furnace. I’m quite curious – is there such a design? Which units’ conversion furnaces are of this kind? Which is better, metal materials or mullite cover tiles?
May I ask what the maximum temperature at the flue cover of this conversion furnace is? Can a metal cover lining be used along with ceramic fiber insulation for heat retention?
Thank you for your answer. It can reach up to around 1100°C. At the moment, I just want to know whether metal materials can be used as a substitute, and what kind of material could be used instead.
