O.T.: Operating temperature – the temperature at which the device operates.M.P.: Melting point – the temperature at which a substance melts.
HP: Horsepower – a unit of power.
S.G.: Specific gravity – the ratio of the density of a substance to that of water.
PFD: Process Flow Diagram – a diagram showing the flow of materials in a process.
PCD: Process Control Diagram – a PFD on which control points are marked.
PID: Piping and Instrumentation Diagram – a diagram showing pipes and instruments along with their control points.
HSE: General Health, Safety, and Environment aspects – matters related to health, safety, and the environment.
MRP: Material Requisition (issued for purchase) – a request to purchase materials.
MRQ: Material Requisition (issued for quotation) – a request to get a quote for materials.
MDS: Master Demand Schedule – a plan outlining overall material requirements.
PDS: Piping Design System – a system used for 3D design of pipelines in factories.
TBA: Technical Bid Analysis – analysis related to technical aspects and bidding.
TBE: Technical Bid Evaluation – evaluation of technical aspects and bids
