1) When removing the floating ring seal assembly, be careful not to damage the babbitt surface on the floating ring; if necessary, it is permissible to lift the rotor slightly, but the lifting height should not exceed 0.10 mm. 2) The babbitt layer on the inner circular surface of the floating ring shall be free from defects such as scratches, grooves, cracks, delamination, wear, and embedded hard particles ; The end faces of the floating ring, as well as the end faces on the housing that come into contact with the floating ring, must be smooth and flat, with even contact ; The axial thickness error of the floating ring is less than 0.01 mm. 3) The anti-rotation pin of the floating ring shows no wear or bending, and its position and length are appropriate, ensuring that the floating ring can float normally. 4) The radial clearance of the inner ring of the floating ring seal in the low-pressure cylinder is 0.070–0.105 mm, while the radial clearance of the outer ring is 0.125–0.160 mm ; The radial clearance of the inner ring of the floating ring seal in the high-pressure cylinder is 0.070–0.105 mm, while the radial clearances of the middle ring and the outer ring are both 0.150–0.185 mm. 5) All O-rings shall be free from defects such as flattening, twisting, missing material, burrs, cracks, etc., and shall have good elasticity ; There is no looseness or tightness after assembly ; The elastic piece is undamaged and has good elasticity. 6) The sealing teeth of the shaft end seal ring on the inner side of the floating ring seal assembly show no wear, and the clearance meets the standard requirements ; The contact surface between the floating ring seal housing and the seal ring is flat and smooth. 7) When replacing components, the relevant dimensions should be checked, especially the axial dimensions, to ensure that each component and the entire floating ring seal assembly are installed in place.
