Recently, at the request of the company, I have been conducting research on the trade of certain bulk chemical commodities and writing some analyses. Research shows that the domestic sulfuric acid market is currently in a poor state, with most sulfuric acid manufacturers struggling to operate. However, Zhangjiagang Shuangshi is an exception: it has no downstream consumers, yet it possesses a production capacity of 2.3 million tons. It’s unclear to whom exactly Shuangshi’s sulfuric acid is sold – who could have such a high demand for it?
One ton of acid, one ton of steam； For those with HRS, one ton of acid corresponds to roughly 1.58 tons of steam. So he also has to use a large amount of steam himself. I’m not familiar with the details of Shuangshi, but if it can consume such a large amount of sulfuric acid without relying on downstream processes, then sulfur must be present in its products. It’s probably fertilizer. So where has the sulfur element gone?
