The 68# lubricating oil in the rear bearing housing of the boiler forced circulation water pump has turned black. High-voltage motor: 10,000V; flow rate: 1,200 M3/H; current: 37A. Please give some suggestions. Thank you!
It is normal for lubricant to turn black after long-term use. Reasons for abnormal darkening: excessive temperature, degraded lubricant, friction, metal particles, and problems with the cooling system.
This situation can be analyzed to determine what impurities are present; generally, when the oil is changed, darkening is often due to severe carbonization
The key question is how often do you change the oil? What’s the shaft temperature? :L
