Building Firefighter Certificate: The “Building Firefighter Certificate” falls under the fourth sub-category of the second medium category within the third large category of the \"Classification of Occupations in the People’s Republic of China\". This certificate is valid nationwide, does not require annual renewal, and is valid for life; holders possess **recognized practical skills**. There are five types of positions that require this certificate, including what we used to refer to as the fire control certificate. By the end of 2011, all fire control certificates issued by Hangzhou were invalidated (Zhe Gong Xiao [2010] No. 121), and they were replaced with nationally recognized qualifications for building firefighters. Firefighters for buildings and structures include five different positions (in other words, one certificate covers five different fire-related roles, meaning that the same certificate can be used to work in these five positions): ① Fire management personnel in key facilities ; ②, operators and managers of the fire control room ; ③Fire safety managers of construction companies ; ④Fire protection technicians from fire protection product manufacturing companies and fire protection project construction firms ; ⑤Technicians from fire protection maintenance, inspection, and fire protection technical consulting firms, as well as those who are engaged in or preparing to engage in special fire protection occupations (jobs). Methods for obtaining a firefighter qualification certificate for buildings: The professional skill assessment in the special field of firefighting is becoming more standardized. The Hangzhou Fire Service Vocational Skill Assessment Station has been dissolved; now, all vocational skill assessments in the fire service sector across the province are carried out by the Zhejiang Province Fire Service Specialized Vocational Skill Assessment Station, located in Shaoxing Paojiang Development Zone. The evaluation is still carried out in two parts: basic theory and practical operation. The basic theory exam is held nationwide in January, April, July, and October each year. After each batch takes the national unified examination, the assessment station arranges practical operation assessments. Registration for the assessment is divided into two categories based on the application requirements outlined in the **Professional Standards for Building/Firefighters**: ① Those who have worked in this profession continuously for one year or more can register by bringing their ID card, a copy of their ID card, their educational certificate, and a certification issued by the labor department of their employer (those without an educational certificate need to obtain such a certification from their employer; the latest announcements on the Hangzhou Fire Training and Education Website provide templates for both labor certification and educational certificates). In accordance with the application requirements of the **Professional Standards for Building/Firefighters**, candidates who have worked in this profession continuously for one year or more do not need to undergo any training before they can register for the assessment. The resulting qualification is a nationally recognized fire safety certificate that is valid for life and does not require annual renewal. ②Those who have not yet started working in this field, or those who have been working in it for less than one year, must register with the local fire department to attend a 15-day training course. Upon completion of the training, a certificate of completion is issued; this certificate should be submitted along with the admission ticket when obtaining the final diploma. 2. Fire safety supervisor certificate and fire safety manager certificate: These certificates serve as proof that one has completed the mandatory administrative training required by **policies and regulations, and has passed such training. It’s a completion certificate. It does not indicate technical qualifications that demonstrate professional skills or competence. The training is notified through a document issued by the fire administration agency. According to the **professional standards for building firefighters**, fire safety managers must hold a qualification certificate for building firefighters in order to work in this role. In other words, the fire safety manager must have knowledge of fire safety and meet the knowledge and skill standards of a building firefighter. Meanwhile, in accordance with **fire safety regulations, you are also required to attend fire safety training organized by the fire department on an administrative level, just as fire engineers must undergo such training organized by the fire department every two years. It can be understood as industry policy and technological progress studies! 3. Fire engineer and assistant engineer certificates: These certificates fall under the category of professional and technical personnel in the second major category of the \"Classification of Occupations of the People’s Republic of China\". It indicates that the holder possesses **recognized professional technical qualifications**. Such certificates are used for enterprise fire protection engineering technology or management.
