Dry gas system purging

May I ask everyone, apart from using steam, can nitrogen be used for purging the dry gas system?
We have been using steam. In fact, before it exits the catalytic cracking unit, the dry gas is absorbed by diesel; the dry gas may contain condensed oil, which contains diesel components, and this condensed oil cannot be displaced using nitrogen.
