Considering using the same flexible pipe for loading and unloading, with a three-way ball valve installed at the front end of the pipe to switch between the loading and unloading pipelines, I wonder if this is feasible from both process and safety perspectives
Some flexible hoses are called loading/unloading hose. It can be used for loading and unloading at the same time; three-way ball valves are not necessarily reliable, so it’s better to use two ball valves
Of course, it is best to use a lower-mounted dip pipe to prevent cavitation during unloading
Generally, materials are loaded from the top and unloaded from the bottom; only liquefied hydrocarbons are loaded and unloaded from the bottom. I think only liquefied hydrocarbons can share this method
