There is indeed such a thing in terms of the installation technology for air separation units~~ The same applies to on-site installation as well~~ To prevent leakage from the valve stem, it is best to install the valves vertically; however, due to constraints such as the installation location, the valves on air separation cold boxes are usually installed at an angle of 10~15 degrees tilted upward~~
From a certain angle, the liquid can be on the bottom and the gas on the top, creating an air seal for protection.
Are there any specific relevant materials? ~~
These are merely the technical requirements set by various air separation plant manufacturers; the reason for such requirements isn’t explained, and it’s just my personal interpretation. It’s similar to installing low-temperature safety valves – one cannot install them directly on the main pipeline; instead, a duct must be installed first. This is done so that a gas seal can be created at the base of the safety valve within that duct, thereby preventing the valve from failing due to low temperatures!
