Coating thickness measurement

There is a water tank, which has been coated with epoxy asphalt paint twice, resulting in a paint film thickness of 250 microns. Using paint film thickness measurement doesn’t yield an accurate value? What’s the reason?
What measuring instrument are you using? Generally, there are magnetic thickness gauges, fixed-probe thickness gauges, eddy current gauges, and destructive thickness gauges. The measurement range is generally 0~600μm, with a maximum of up to 1.5mm.
What material is the water tank made of? Also, please calibrate the thickness gauge using a thickness test piece before making measurements
The water tank is made of Q235 material; please calibrate it using a thickness test piece before measurement. Is that okay? Is the paint film not fully dried?
