The technical specification for the electrolyzers produced by Beihua Machinery requires that the concentration of high-purity calcium ions in the electrolyzer solution be less than 0.5 ppm. The high-purity acid triple-groove graphite synthesis furnace we use is produced by Planet Company. Recent analyses of calcium ions using ICP for high-purity acids have shown fluctuating values, and issues 1 sampling problems, 2 analysis problems, and 3 deionized water used for absorption have been ruled out. 4. The high-purity acid storage tank is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. I would appreciate it if everyone could help analyze this.
If the previous analysis results were normal, I suspect there is a slight leak in the graphite absorber, which allows circulating water to enter the hydrogen chloride absorption system. You can try switching to another furnace.
After the switch of the synthesis furnace was completed, the analysis results remained erratic.
What are the results of ICP analysis on the saltwater? Are the values also fluctuating? Equipment issues need to be ruled out; the sample should be sent to another facility for testing to see the results.
I would like to ask everyone: is it better to use glass bottles or plastic bottles for sampling high-purity acids?
Either one is acceptable; neither glass nor plastic reacts with hydrochloric acid, so both can be used. However, glass bottles are more commonly used for sampling, as glass is transparent. Color is an important indicator for determining the quality of hydrochloric acid, as pure hydrochloric acid is colorless; therefore, glass bottles are preferred.
