Wugang’s hydrogen-resistant molybdenum steel, steel designed to resist wet hydrogen sulfide corrosion, as well as steel used for large oil storage tanks and high-strength welded crack-free stadiums, are moving toward higher-end applications. The actual quality of the steel plates meets international standards, allowing them to successfully replace imported products. It is widely used in the engineering construction of CNPC, Sinopec, and CNOOC. It is mainly used in the manufacture of oil refining hydrogenation reactors, heat and high-pressure separators, coke towers, coal gasification furnaces, coal-to-oil Fischer-Tropsch reactors, ammonia synthesis towers, large oil storage tanks, large spherical tanks, and other similar components. For steel of the 12CR2MO1R type, the maximum production thickness is 256 mm, the maximum single weight is 56 tons, and it is required that the impact energy at -30° be greater than 54 J. For 14CR1MOR-type steels, the maximum current production thickness is 162 mm; the technical requirement is that the impact energy at -18°C should be greater than 54 J. For SA387GR11, the requirement is that the impact energy at -10°C should be greater than 80 J.
