The department has a set of vibration fluidized bed dryers and automatic packaging machines. At the discharge valve of the cyclone separator and the material bin of the packaging machine, blockages often occur due to the poor flowability of the material; currently, manual tapping is required to allow the material to be discharged for packaging. After discussion, it was decided to introduce air for loosening (let’s call it loosening air for now; the air source is 0.7 MPa instrument air). The question is how to apply this air in an appropriate manner. I hope experienced colleagues can share their insights; thank you!

I don’t know much about the properties of this material, so I couldn’t find any information regarding its requirements regarding deflagration. Based on the assumption that no special requirements for explosion prevention apply, these opinions are for reference only: First, determine the angle of repose using experimental methods to check whether the discharge angle of the silo is appropriate ; Secondly, the fluidization of the silo should be linked to the discharge device; the air pressure can be increased starting from 1 bar, and then discharging can begin. The material has no explosion-proof requirements, so interconnection cannot be implemented for now; the focus is currently on testing the performance – a desperate attempt to find a solution. Now it all depends on the guys who do the operations.
