Are there still chlor-alkali plants using the calcium chloride method for nitrogen removal? How is calcium sulfate, the denitration product, treated?

In the diaphragm cell process, the calcium chloride method is useful and yields decent results.
This method was used in earlier years but has now been abandoned. The reason is that the denitration efficiency does not meet the requirements of the ion-exchange membrane process, and the residual amount of sulfate is too high, as is the residual calcium level.
