Shifted from the oil and petrochemical industry to the municipal sector

I graduated from university in 2013 and started working as an engineer assistant at a equipment company; over those three years I worked hard and studied diligently. Now, a foreign-owned municipal company has sent me an offer for a project manager position, with a significantly improved salary. I wonder what the future holds for the municipal industry? I find it hard to let go of the petrochemical industry, as I’ve put in a lot of effort over these three years. Although it hasn’t brought any benefits to the company, the idea of moving on feels like a waste of all the hard work I’ve done over those years.
If given the chance, I wouldn’t work in the petrochemical industry; I would change careers without hesitation! It’s a pity there’s no chance for me anymore
What more are you thinking about? The chemical industry is in a poor state these days; there are better offers available. What are you waiting for?

If it changes, another long period of rebuilding one’s career as an individual will be required. . . . I’m not sure if I’m capable of handling the new job
OP, the situation for Municipal Engineering has been excellent since last year; even the structural engineering departments in our provincial-level construction firms are not performing well, while only Municipal Engineering earns huge profits. :What is L waiting for?
Is that so? I’m not familiar with this industry, but hearing you say that makes me feel much more at ease. But senior, I’d like to ask first: which has a higher technical difficulty level, the municipal industry or the petrochemical industry?
What an amazing person – he became a project manager in just three years. New talents keep emerging, and it’s even more inspiring given that it’s a foreign company; it’s truly motivating.
I’m not too sure either; it seems there are things like an official website, roads, bridges, and so on. . . .
