When taking samples of circulating hydrogen in our company’s hydrogenation units, we have to wear air respirators, which is not only troublesome but also dangerous. Is there any other way, without using an online analyzer?
There is no effective method without an online analyzer, unless the sampling points are connected directly to the machines in the laboratory
Adding an online analyzer is good, as it allows for accurate and timely detection of changes, thereby protecting operators.
Sampling with a gas cylinder is safer than using an air bag.
A long-nose breathing mask is a great thing. The sampling cylinder is really useful too; however, there are still errors in online analysis. I’ve used all three, but air respirators aren’t a good thing.
If you value your life, don’t be reckless – a gas mask can’t protect you from hydrogen sulfide at levels of several thousand ppm. If the process conditions cannot be met, proper job protection measures should be taken. Furthermore, stable device operation can completely reduce the frequency of sample preparation
