Sure, by looking up information I found that the efficiency of spray towers is very low, but I’m not sure about the more practical calculations for determining that efficiency
I don’t seem to have come across this before; it’s not possible to simply calculate the dust removal efficiency. There are many factors that need to be taken into account, such as the type of tower, liquid distribution, and type of packing. Generally, it is the equipment manufacturers who design these systems and can provide a dust removal efficiency figure. As for products from other manufacturers, it’s hard to know what level of performance they will achieve – most of the relevant parameters are based on experience. What’s important is that efficiency figures must be considered in conjunction with actual operating conditions and equipment maintenance status. Calculations alone aren’t sufficient; only practical results can tell us the true efficiency
