Do I need to conduct a welding procedure qualification again now? I’m new to this industry and don’t understand many things; I hope those with more experience can give me some guidance.
This post was last edited by realsun888 on 2016-8-16 at 16:11. If sizes 13–15 mm are not available in the actual product, they can be omitted. If so, it needs to be done. Another one can be 8mm or 10mm or 12mm, with a range of 8-16 or 10-20 or 12-24, as long as it covers 13-15.
Well, thank you. I’m doing 8+8. One more question: can a single test specimen be used for tensile, bending, and impact tests simultaneously? I’m not sure how much material I should purchase.
The size of the sample is listed on NBT47014; you can calculate it accordingly. 2x20 (cutting) + 2x32 (pulling) + 4x38 (bending) + 6x10 (punching) + 14x5 (notching), plus some spare parts; a length of around 450 should suffice, with a width of 130+130.
