Can the CO incinerator in a catalytic unit operate without gas as a supplementary fuel? My unit currently uses incomplete regeneration; I’ve read in some papers that it’s possible for a CO incinerator to function without such supplementary fuel. Has anyone managed to implement this in their units? How should the various parameters be adjusted?
There is usually a process for supplying make-up air; when the temperature is low, it is necessary to monitor the CO concentration and supply an appropriate amount of make-up air to maintain control. Any excess CO is burned in a CO incinerator, and the key is to keep the temperature under control.
