Our company used to handle phosphorus-containing wastewater, which was in the form of phosphoric acid. The client used this substance for rust removal; the product was taken out of the phosphoric acid tank and then rinsed, and the wastewater resulting from this process contained phosphoric acid. Now, no matter whether I add lime, ferric chloride, or phosphorus removal agents, or even use activated carbon for adsorption, the total phosphorus content in the water remains above 50 mg/L, and sometimes it even exceeds 100 mg/L. You can try phosphorus-removing resins; we have used them before. If needed, we can discuss it and arrange experiments

If a further increase in the phosphate removal rate is desired, ion exchange resins can be used to ensure compliance with discharge standards at the end of the process; the high-concentration phosphorus-containing wastewater resulting from the regeneration of these resins can then be sent back for pre-treatment.
