In daily life, power adapters are used for charging various electrical devices, and it’s inevitable that these adapters may get damaged. Next, the manufacturers of power adapters have analyzed some of the reasons behind such damage. We have identified 4 relatively common situations in total, namely: circuit failure, excessive output voltage, low output voltage, and damaged fuse. I. Circuit faults: Circuit faults are easy to understand; it means that the charger cable may not be transmitting electricity or may be damaged. Replacing the cable usually resolves this issue. II. Excessively low output voltage: short circuit in the load of the switching power supply, failure of the filtering capacitor or rectifier diode at the output voltage terminal, reduced performance of the switching transistors, defective transformer, or defective filtering capacitors. IV. Insurance damage: For insurance-related damage, it is necessary to check the rectifier bridge, diodes, etc.; it could also be caused by interference from the anti-interference circuit. Additionally, the manufacturer advises that when a power adapter is damaged, it is recommended to replace it with a new one. It is recommended to purchase from reputable stores or large shopping malls, making sure not to buy low-quality power adapters.
