Qingdao City has signed a framework agreement with Beijing Shenwu Environmental Energy Technology Group Co., Ltd.: a project for the clean, differentiated utilization of 15 million tons of coal per year will be established in the Linyuan Park of Qingdao High-Tech Zone. Zhao Ming, Secretary of the Daqing Municipal Party Committee, met with Wu Daohong and his delegation from Shenwu Group Company. It is reported that the total investment in this project is approximately 15.2 billion yuan, and it will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, a project for the clean, differentiated utilization of 6 million tons of coal per year along with related facilities will be built; the main installations include an ethylene glycol production plant with a capacity of 600,000 tons per year, as well as a self-powered power station equipped with 3×50 megawatt backpressure steam turbine generators. The annual output value is expected to be 4.3 billion yuan. The second phase involves the construction of a project for the clean, differentiated utilization of 9 million tons of coal per year, along with associated facilities. The preparatory work for the project is progressing smoothly, with construction scheduled to begin by the end of August this year. Han Lihua welcomed Shenwu Group to invest and cooperate in Qing. He said that Daqing is working to build a diversified industrial system, focusing in particular on leveraging approaches such as transforming oil-based products into other materials, gas-based products into other materials, and coal-based products into other materials, in order to fully utilize the potential of various production factors and further develop the chemical industry. As the first large-scale project under Daqing’s strategy of \"using coal at its beginning and converting it into other products at its end,\" this project is bound to become an important driver for the development of new energy and coal chemical industries in Daqing, and it plays a crucial role in accelerating the growth of related industries. It is hoped that both parties will coordinate to advance the project swiftly and efficiently, striving for early commencement, early operation, and early achievement of results.
