News from the air separation industry, 20160908: Construction work has begun on the installation phase of the air separation project for Praxair’s South refinery and Huntsman, carried out by Sihua Jian

The installation work for the air separation unit with a capacity of 40,000 Nm3/h, intended to support Henkel’s operations at Nanjing Praxair South Refinery, commenced on September 6. The project is being carried out by China National Chemical Engineering Corporation Fourth Construction Co., Ltd. It is located in the Yudai area of the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, and its capacity is 900 tons of oxygen per day, intended to supply industrial gases to Nanjing Jinling Henkel New Materials Co., Ltd. Huntsman will use these gases to build world-class propylene oxide (PO) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) plants in Nanjing. Sihua Jian Company is responsible for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems for this project, with completion scheduled for December 31, 2016. In mid-August, Sihua Construction Company won the bid for the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installation work for the wastewater treatment project at Beijing Praxair Gaobeidian, as well as for the mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installation work related to the 40,000 Nm3/h air separation project at Nanjing Jinling Huntsman. The total bid amount was approximately 24 million yuan.
