An electronic scale has 4 sensors. The main cable enters the explosion-proof junction box through a conduit pipe; the junction box has 4 cable outlets with G1/2 threads. The sensor cables have external threads, and the manufacturer of the explosion-proof hoses said that these threads are too small to use for such connections. Generally, the smallest fitting for explosion-proof hoses is G1/2", but it is possible to have the threads customized, or a reducer can be used as well. For example, one can purchase a hose with one end of size G1/2" (inner) and the other end of size G1/2" (outer), and then use a reducer with inner threads matching those of the G1/2" (outer) end.
