How is the catalyst circulation rate of the FCC calculated? Is there a formula for it? I hope to receive guidance from all the teachers! (Our device processes 100 tons per hour; is the circulation volume around 1,000 tons?) )
It can be calculated based on the pressure drop of the regenerative spool, with corresponding formulas available
The circulation volume is roughly between 600 and 700.
There is an empirical value: for the parallel-type configuration, the general circulation volume is 7–8 times the total storage capacity, while for the coaxial type it is generally 10–12 times! Of course, this is an empirical value; it’s best to derive it through calculation. There are quite a few posts on forums regarding this topic, so just do a search!

Isn’t it the case that none of the posts clearly explain how to calculate it?
Q&A on catalytic cracking technology, 113 pages long; it includes calculation formulas. The typical oil-to-catalyst ratio is around 6 to 8, and it may be higher in cases where a cold catalyst is used in the cycle – 9 would be an excellent value (referring to fresh feedstock).
This is too complicated. Is there a simpler way, like the one mentioned above, which uses the differential pressure of a slide valve for calculation?
