At present, our company has a material that needs to be dried. The annual processing volume is around 2,000 tons (based on the feed amount). This material is in the form of a filter cake produced by a plate and frame filter press, with a moisture content of approximately 50%; its main components are calcium sulfate, calcium phosphate, and some other salts. The moisture content needs to be dried down to around 10%, and the viscosity of the material is generally moderate. For now, I am considering flash drying, paddle drying, and rake drying. From the perspective of equipment cost and operating expenses, flash drying is the preferred option. But the factory currently uses steam and heat transfer oil boilers. If electricity consumption is high, as a last resort, install a small boiler. Please recommend manufacturers of flash drying equipment. It is best to have similar performance records within Sichuan, as this facilitates the evaluation of procurement.
It is said that the energy consumption of paddle dryers is much lower than that of flash evaporation? I’m not sure if it’s true, but those aspects can prove it to be much lower
If you have steam and heat transfer oil available, it is recommended to use a paddle dryer； The thermal efficiency of flash evaporation is around 40%, while that of paddle-type systems is around 90%.
