During my morning exercise, I noticed that the rice grains had turned yellow and the panicles were hanging low. Thoughts as I exercise in the morning: the autumn wind stirs the waves of rice; the dew adds a fragrant aroma to the grains. The hanging panicles represent the fruits of autumn – humble and unshowy
This is the second-season rice in the south, right? The OP is in Hubei, further south I guess
Well, I work in the Lianyungang Chemical Industrial Park and live in the countryside.
That’s not right; I’ve already harvested my rice. Lianyungang is located north of the Huai River, adjacent to Shandong; it can be accurately considered part of the north. I also worked at Dagang City for a while; I really didn’t notice anyone growing rice there.
