The counter-current bed operates in a co-current manner (during operation, water flows from top to bottom into the resin layer to carry out ion exchange), and in a counter-current regeneration manner (during regeneration, the regeneration liquid flows from the bottom of the bed and passes through the resin layer from bottom to top for regeneration).
