During the Cheta phase, reverse operation is chosen to prevent the furnace from overheating. Without hand valves, it is difficult to properly isolate the cut tower, which poses a great risk. It is recommended to park the vehicle and check all the programmable valves; all 4 towers are leaking internally, and the same situation holds for the others as well. The 4-tower mode corresponds to a 4-1-2 operation pattern, while the 5-tower mode is 5-2-2. Two adsorption towers are combined into one; at this point the capacity of the system is reduced, and fluctuations occur significantly. It is also necessary to adjust the adsorption time in order to maintain a constant pressure, as well as the set points of the control valves. After switching to the 4-tower mode, it is important to monitor the operation to ensure it proceeds normally; if any abnormalities occur, the PSA unit should be shut down immediately.
