Heaven rewards those who are sincere and upright. I urge you to be stricter with yourself, to strive for even greater heights. It’s been two full years since graduation; the things I’ve experienced, the dogs I’ve seen, and the beautiful women I’ve met have all become as unremarkable as ordinary things. I still remember those naive yet pretentious days; I’m grateful to those around me who brought me both pain and happiness. In this world, there is no such thing as good or bad; it’s just that we, who get too involved in things, always use our own standards to judge everything around us, and our cowardice often leads us to avoid facing reality. However, these are not the focus of life; I am lost. When looking at those around us who have achieved something, one always sees the confident smiles on their faces, but never realizes the hardships they have gone through. Perhaps they are naturally suited to this society, always able to handle pressure with ease or even find joy in it. Perhaps, they too used to be just as confused as you are today, feeling helpless in the face of this society that disdains the weak yet is unshakable and indestructible. Everything goes through a process; there’s a saying that one will eventually become the very person they hate the most. If this can be tolerated, then nothing cannot. The reality that you refuse to accept today may become an event created by your own hands, and then there will be someone like you who refuses to accept it as well. Things in the world are just so unpredictable; even ourselves, whom we think we can control, cannot anticipate such phenomena. Take things lightly; the small goals in your life are what should be the focus of your existence. Whether you hate it or not, reality is there regardless. It’s much more satisfying to achieve small goals one by one with a calm mindset, rather than complaining all day long.
