Our system is equipped with a self-priming magnetic pump used to draw in rainwater. During winter, once the heating system is turned on, the pump hardly manages to pump any water; it is necessary to pour cold water into it. How can this problem be solved?
If not used for a long time, the pump needs to be primed; filling it with cold water serves as the priming process
I know that once a vapor phase is generated, exhaust is required after startup.
In winter, it needs to be started once a day; after each start, exhaust gas must be released before the volume can be adjusted

A self-priming pump has a self-priming process; it can start delivering fluid properly only after self-priming is completed, which takes 3–5 minutes. With the heat tracing on, the water remaining evaporates too quickly, leaving too little water
How can one use a self-priming magnetic pump to draw rainwater? That’s a bit extravagant, haha.
The heat tracing temperature was too high, causing vaporization.
The heat tracing duration is long, causing water to vaporize inside the pump and resulting in cavitation.
After heating, the water inside the pump vaporizes, so it naturally cannot self-priming. For draining rainwater, a regular self-priming pump will suffice; the cost of such a pump isn’t even enough to cover the spare parts needed for a magnetic pump
