What do you think of people who keep making mistakes at work and yet have tons of excuses?
Talk to him calmly and help him plan out his career goals; if he lacks the motivation, then there’s no need to assign him any work, no need to give him any opportunities to learn or train
I don’t agree. If you do a poor job, then do less work? So, with my salary remaining the same, I’ll work less or delay the timeline. I have such examples around me.
Let me tell you a true story: In a certain design firm, person A never managed to understand the tasks properly, and the designs he created always contained many errors. The supervisor tried to teach him several times, but there was no improvement, so eventually almost no work was assigned to him. Then he had time to study*, obtained 2 certification exams, and so he went to his supervisor to ask about changing jobs~~! When the leader saw this situation, he couldn’t just let it go; he immediately promoted him to director, and from then on he didn’t have to work anymore! ! ! !
That’s the reason. There’s a lot of work to do, many mistakes made, plenty of criticism from supervisors, and then no time left to deal with one’s own tasks. Not much to do, but at least there’s a salary; you can use that money to learn on your own – how great is that.
This leader is seeking trouble; those two registration certificates of his are not necessary – just giving him a raise to keep him would be enough, let alone promoting him to director. Hehe, this must break so many people’s hearts; the consequences are obvious.
The key is to learn more on your own*.
How should I describe this thing? It’s like my current job – everything is repetitive with nothing new about it. So, should you do more of it or less? Anyway, the salary doesn’t change, and I won’t learn anything new either.
