Why are SDV and BDV valves pneumatic valves? Moreover, a solenoid valve is added to this pneumatic valve as a switch for the air supply. What is the purpose of such a design? Why not use an electric valve? Insufficient response time? Excessive driving force? Preventing power loss in extreme situations? Is the small solenoid valve inside the circuit powered by a UPS? I hope someone who understands can explain.

Electric valves have a slower response time and require a power source; they remain in their original position in the event of a power outage. If it is necessary for the valve to stay closed (or open) during a power outage, an emergency power source must be installed
I took another close look: Is the SDV valve a pneumatic-hydraulic actuator? And BDV is a pneumatic valve; what is the difference between them? Why is it different? Just now, after spending some time looking up information in response to a previous question, it can be seen that both SDV and BDV valves are related to the operating conditions under which they are used. In most cases, SDV valves use the gas present in the pipeline as a power source, and this is also used as the criterion for determining whether the valve should open or close; this approach ensures the reliability of the logical decisions as well as the appropriate response time. So, when there is an electrical power supply available, could the pressure levels in the pipeline be used as a signal to activate the electric valve? Is it simply the switching time of the electric valve that does not meet the design requirements? Because if an electric valve can be used, its actuator is simple and its operational reliability is also high. I wonder if it makes sense?
