The compressor interlock consists of three aspects: 1. Two-out-of-three lubricating oil pressure monitoring； 2. SIS system interlock signals ； 3. Unit emergency stop signal. I would like to ask what is meant by the chained signal in this SIS system?
It could be: bearing vibration and displacement； Interlock signals such as dry gas seal leakage.
The SIS system is also known as the Safety Instrumented System. A Safety Instrumented System (SIS) refers to various interlocks within a process flow, such as the interlock for low hydrogen circulation flow.
But low lubricating oil pressure is also part of the SIS system; why is it listed separately?
Are you referring to a compressor for producing new hydrogen or one for recycling hydrogen? Compressors used for producing new hydrogen are generally monitored in terms of oil pressure, oil temperature, water pressure, motor bearing temperature, and emergency stop functions. There are more parameters to monitor for compressors used for recycling hydrogen. The interlock signals of the SIS system you mentioned, such as the activation of emergency venting, dry gas seal leakage levels, shaft vibration, and shaft displacement, can also trigger the shutdown of the hydrogen recycling compressor
The key point is the question you raised; I’m not familiar with your system settings. Our compressor units are controlled using ITCC, while the generator sets use IMCC instead of SIS; therefore, the answer is yes, it is possible.
In large-scale unit systems, things like displacement vibrations and the like are the interlock conditions for the compressor~~~~ those related to the unit
I’m referring to the new hydrogen machine; I’m not asking about which specific chain it belongs to. I just want to know what category such SIS signal falls into. It’s definitely different from lubricant pressure and compressor emergency stop signals, but I’m not sure which category it belongs to
It’s an emergency stop signal sent by the SIS system. Do you have an operation console? There’s also an emergency stop button on that console! It’s equivalent to an emergency shutdown signal!
