The video shows a little girl sitting on the front of a shopping cart; as they emerged from the escalator, the cart got stuck and the girl fell off it, hitting the ground with her head facing backward... Fortunately, in reality the girl suffered only minor injuries after falling from the cart, rather than dying on the spot as claimed online. In fact, apart from this incident, similar tragedies occur every year↓ Such situations are all too common around us. We can always see children sitting, crouching, or standing in shopping carts. What they don’t realize is that their unconscious behavior is playing with their child’s life! Be sure to sit down; please keep these points in mind. After seeing the news examples above, I believe everyone now understands the dangers of putting children in supermarket shopping carts. But some parents say that raising a child alone is really tiring; isn’t it possible to use a stroller to save some effort? Actually, the shopping cart can be used by children, but parents must pay close attention to the following aspects. 1. Do not let children stand in shopping carts. It is dangerous whether it’s older children or younger ones standing in such carts; pulling the cart or the movement of the child can easily cause an imbalance and lead to a fall, or even result in the child falling out of the cart. 2. Adjust the space in the stroller seat appropriately; determine whether your child needs to sit in it based on their age. Adjust the space in the shopping cart as appropriate; if the seat area in the shopping cart is narrow and the child is overweight, it’s easy for the child to get stuck there ; If the space is too large and the child is relatively young, sitting in a seat does not provide any safety protection. 3. Do not let children use their fingers or toes to poke into the gaps of the shopping cart; always be aware of whether their hands or toes might get stuck or scratched by metal. 4. It is forbidden to let children stand on shopping carts and reach for items on the shelves. Near shelves that are quite high or cluttered, an unstable center of gravity can lead to falls, and when children try to grab things, items on the shelves might fall and hit them. 5. Do not let children climb into shopping carts by themselves. Shopping carts are lightweight and lack stability, so they can easily tip over if not handled carefully. 6. Children are prohibited from sitting in shopping carts alone or jumping around in them. If parents are too busy selecting items and paying, or if they are careless for a moment, the child may stand, sit, or even walk around in the cart, which can lead to accidents; this matter requires attention. 7. Teach children the correct way to sit in a shopping cart: They should sit facing their parent on the foldable seat, placing their legs through the openings in front of the seat, and fastening their seat belts. If seat belts are not available, they must be extremely careful and keep an eye on their child at all times. 8. Pay attention to the warnings on the shopping cart – parents should be aware of certain warnings indicated on it, such as those stating “Max 15kg”, as well as reminders like “Do not allow children to stand in the basket; make sure children sit properly”. 9. Understand the purpose of the shopping cart on your own. The function of a shopping cart is to hold the items you intend to purchase; do not use it as a toy for children to play with. In shopping carts equipped with child seats, make sure the child sits in the correct position. 10. Do not let children push the shopping cart by themselves. While children of a certain age are able to do so, younger kids may easily bump into people or hurt themselves while pushing the cart since they cannot see what’s in front of them.
Give the original poster a thumbs up. The issue of children using shopping carts safely in large supermarkets is a common safety hazard in daily life. Fortunately, no serious consequences resulted from this incident; people usually don’t pay enough attention to it, but they regret it once an accident occurs. It’s important to learn more about safety basics to prevent such incidents from happening
Safety awareness in daily life must be strengthened....
These days, people pay widespread attention to safety at work, but tend to overlook it in their daily lives. I would like to create a topic focused on the safety issues in everyday life, in order to serve as a reminder to everyone.
