Of course, some design requirements dictate that the openings on the head should be avoided in areas near nozzles and the like, and the placement of welds must be taken into consideration. Headings with a diameter of 6000 mm or less can generally be formed by integral pressing; for larger sizes, segmented pressing must be considered, taking into account the manufacturing capabilities of the heading manufacturer.

If there are welds, most pressure heads do not permit diagonal welds; in general, it is required that the number of welds be kept as low as possible, avoiding areas with openings, while taking into account the utilization rate of the steel plates and the weight of the welding materials.
