What are the future prospects for the desulfurization unit?

I have only been working at this company for one year; my main tasks involve the desulfurization of wastewater gases, dry gas, and liquefied gas, as well as sulfur recovery. In state-owned enterprises, I feel uncertain about the future – often, decisions are made based on seniority, and by seniority is meant length of service rather than actual expertise. If nothing unexpected had happened this year, I would have been able to start working in a technical role in three or four years; so for now I want to work hard on improving myself, and I’d like to use this opportunity to talk with the seniors here
It seems that the market is moving in the direction of denitration these days; after all, the main cause of acid rain in our country has shifted from sulfides to nitrates~
For large-scale sulfur recovery projects in China, foreign technologies are generally still used; if it’s possible to achieve better results than those offered by foreign companies, then there is certainly a market for such solutions. Moreover, if the technical design for upgrading sulfur recovery systems can be improved, there won’t be a need for too many such projects
Any profession with expertise has a promising future; by understanding it thoroughly and applying knowledge from related areas, one can achieve great success.
