At 7:07 on November 4, a valve at the connection point between the high-temperature oil furnace and the high-temperature heat transfer oil tank in the mica factory in Magang Town, Tongcheng County, Xianning City, Hubei Province, broke, resulting in the leakage of high-temperature heat transfer oil and the outbreak of a fire. An explosion has occurred inside the factory building where the fire broke out, and the roofs of some structures have collapsed. Under the influence of a high-temperature furnace, there is a possibility of another explosion in the high-temperature oil tank. Upon receiving the alarm, the fire brigade in Tongcheng County, Xianning, immediately dispatched 2 water tankers, 1 rescue vehicle, along with 14 firefighters to the scene. At 7:30, taking into account the situation on site, the command center immediately issued orders: Team 1 for fire suppression was to quickly position mobile swing guns in a more forward position to cool the tank, while another unit equipped with foam guns was to take advantage of its strategic location to suppress the fire ; Unit 2 of the fire fighting team sent a water gun to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding factories ; The water supply team quickly located a water source to supply water to the fire trucks, ensuring an uninterrupted water supply ; The security team evacuated employees from the factory premises to restore order at the site. At 7:40, as the firefighters managed to bring the fire under effective control through their efforts, the commander immediately coordinated with the factory’s technical staff to inspect the piping system and collect relevant data promptly, in preparation for shutting down the valves. At 7:53, with the support and cover provided by the squadron’s officers and soldiers, the commander ordered two experienced firefighters, along with a technician, to enter the burning factory building in order to close the valves, all while taking proper personal safety precautions. After ten minutes of work, the valves were successfully closed, and the fire was immediately brought under control. http://www.chemicalsafety.org.cn/uploads/allimg/161108/7-16110P93620418.jpghttp://www.chemicalsafety.org.cn/uploads/allimg/161108/7-16110P93630S6.jpg
