Searching for process diagrams for producing asphalt using oxidation processes*; experts in this field are requested to provide assistance; Additionally, what are the requirements for raw materials when producing asphalt using the oxidized asphalt process? I would appreciate it if you could share your insights on this ; Or any information related to the process of oxidizing asphalt – please also upload it so that everyone can learn from it* ; Thank you!
No one has replied for such a long time; is it true that they no longer use the oxidation process to produce asphalt? Do you have any friends in this industry? Give some advice. If anyone knows of other processes for producing asphalt, please come and share your insights. Besides the oxidation process, as I understand it, there are things such as: 1. Solvent deasphalting process ; 2. Harmonized asphalt process ; 3. Modified asphalt process ; 4. Emulsified asphalt process ; As well as conventional atmospheric and vacuum distillation, and so on.
It’s probably because fewer asphalt kilometers are being built these days, resulting in less asphalt being used; Most road surfaces these days are made of concrete, right?
The oxidation process was used quite early on, but it is also used less now; Now, most production is of modified asphalt and emulsified asphalt.
Yes, this is the technology from the 1980s
We are an asphalt plant. In the first three years, we operated the oxidation process for a relatively long time, but this year we have operated it for only a short period. The main purposes of carrying out oxidation are either to increase the yield of asphalt or to produce high-grade asphalt, such as 30# and 50# asphalt. We have an oxidation asphalt unit attached to the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit. The oxidation asphalt process is not complicated; the asphalt is fed into the oxidation tower at around 200 degrees, and air is introduced below the liquid level. Three key parameters need to be controlled: reaction temperature, reaction time, and ventilation volume.
Which asphalt plant do you work for? How can I get in touch with you?
The oxidation process for petroleum asphalt is well-developed; can coal tar pitch be produced using this oxidation process?
