During the process, two liquid ring compressors are used, with an inlet pressure of 0.1 MPa and an outlet pressure of 0.4 MPa. They are used to compress H2S-containing gas at a flow rate of 1000 standard cubic meters. The system requires stable pressure; it is now necessary to determine how to design a method for switching between the two compressors during normal operation, so as to minimize fluctuations in pressure and flow at the system outlet.

Contact the freight handling fitter, instrument technician, and electrician to arrive on site ; 3. Close the inlet valve of the standby pump and open the outlet valve fully; after fuel and water have been added properly, supply power ; 4. Start the backup pump ; 5. After normal operation and when negative pressure is achieved at the inlet, open the inlet valve. Close the inlet valve of the operating pump at the same time ; 6. Perform a gradual transition by slowly closing the inlet valve of the operating pump to ensure stable system flow ; 7. Once the standby unit is operating normally, shut down the running pump.
Thank you, the person from Central China; for water ring vacuum pumps, this method works fine. There seem to be some issues with the water ring compressor. For example, in the case of a water ring compressor, can it be started by turning on the motor with the inlet closed and the outlet open?
Why is a liquid ring compressor chosen? Is it because of the large size of the gas solid particles, or due to explosion-proof requirements? What is the hydrogen sulfide content? In terms of selection, two units are usually configured through a main controller, along with frequency converters. Only in this way can the pressure be kept within a range of around 0.2 bar. Liquid ring compressors cannot guarantee a constant flow rate and pressure, as it is not possible for us to control the temperature and purity of the liquid
There is no issue with liquid ring compressors in terms of controlling flow rate and pressure; the choice of liquid ring compressors is also driven by process requirements. I am currently only facing fluctuations due to the switch. If following the method for switching the vacuum pump mentioned above could work as well, I need to conduct some experiments.
