What is the purpose of the design points created by the ‘point’ option in ‘create’? And what is the use of ‘equipment associations’ in ‘utilities’? I’ve tried various things but it seems like they don’t serve any purpose. I hope someone experienced can help me understand this
It’s related to positioning and generating final images, right?
Is there any connection between the two? Could you explain a little? I’ve been stuck on this problem for two days
Well, I don’t use it much. Let me explain my understanding; it may not be correct, so please correct me if I’m wrong: Handshake: When a device is established, there is a reference point, but relative to whom is this reference point? That is, relative to which layer? Once the device is shifted, the coordinates of this point change; when the view window is zoomed in or out, the device may end up far away from the 0 point and become very small.
Thank you very much for your reply. As for the device origin, my understanding is as follows: a device has two types of coordinates, absolute coordinates and relative coordinates. Absolute coordinates refer to the entire world, while relative coordinates refer to the device itself. Regarding the \"point\" in the create menu, that is, DPSE (Design Pointset), I have seen before that it can be used for equipment association; however, I do not understand what exactly equipment association entails
I don’t understand that; I’m an outsider. . . This design point set can be associated with other devices; it represents relative coordinates, and it can be based on other reference points as well, not necessarily the devices themselves.
