The inlet valve of the vertical shielded pump is leaking; how to prevent freezing?
To be honest, I’m not quite sure what the original poster means! Anti-freezing – you mean anti-freezing for mechanical pumps, right? It’s sufficient to maintain a certain flow of traffic from the exit to the entrance!
Isn’t there a cooling water jacket? When the pump stops running in winter, heating occurs, so there’s nothing wrong with the pump itself; what’s needed is heat tracing for the inlet and outlet pipelines. It’s also okay to add cross-wires for the heating pump in front of and behind the check valve at the pump outlet.
