Do corrosion engineers fall under protection or chemical defense?

I’m not very familiar with these concepts; are they the same in any case?
Anti-corrosion engineers – as for chemical defense, well, that seems to refer to the concept of preventing the spread of chemical weapons; protection is somewhat related to this, but I’ve never heard of such a specialized classification. Corrosion engineers study the mechanisms of corrosion and anti-corrosion, are responsible for tracking, managing corrosion incidents and analyzing their causes, conducting regular monitoring of data related to corrosion, and making decisions regarding anti-corrosion measures.
Thank you. The company has asked me to obtain a certificate for the title of senior protection engineer, and I’m not sure whether either of the two specialties will suffice; it’s also extremely difficult to find such a certificate these days

Has your company found a senior corrosion engineer? Where is your company located? Unit name?
You really need to figure this out; it’s at least not related to corrosion engineering – corrosion engineering refers to corrosion protection engineers.
