Fractionation can separate light and heavy components, but not salts; water washing or electrodesalination can be used
Desalination should be done first, followed by distillation!
Salt remains in the residue fraction and cannot be separated
If the components contain salts, a series of problems will arise in the distillation tower, such as corrosion and scaling
