What should be done if the pressure control valve gets stuck during the pressure relief process after gas discharge from the water-coal slurry gasifier, preventing the pressure from dropping?
The last edit to this post was made by xGguai0911 on 2016-11-25 at 20:11. There are no side lines; two pressure control valves are connected in parallel. The smaller valve is fully open, while the larger one is only partially open and seems to be stuck
There’s no other choice: cut it out to repair the valve, or slowly release pressure through a bypass.
It’s not a bad idea to slow down the pressure release when shutting down the gasifier; this allows the water system to operate more, thereby flushing the pipes. Once the valve adjustments are complete, pressure can be released quickly. However, this exception applies only in cases where it’s urgent to restart the gasifier.
Dealing with valves is difficult; when the pressure drop cannot be reduced, rushing to add more units does nothing to help
After shutting off the manual valve to reduce the back pressure on the valve, the valve is tested; however, there are risks when the pressure is high
Without dealing with the valves first, it’s impossible to control the pressure rise rate even with sequential operation.
Let the instrument show where the problem lies! It is necessary to carefully determine whether it is an actuator or an internal cartridge valve
Even after checking the instruments, it’s not possible to determine what the problem is; the vehicle has to be stopped for repairs
