Our waste heat boiler is equipped with a multi-stage feed water pump with a head of 600m; this pump suddenly stopped delivering water this morning. The current flowing through the pump was normal, as was the outlet pressure, but there was no flow of water from the pump. The boiler water level drops, while the drum pressure rises. According to the worker who inspected the equipment, when there is a problem with the feed pump, its noise level is much lower than normal. Our analysis shows that the temperature of the water coming from the deaerator at the inlet of the feed pump is too high, resulting in vaporization at that inlet. Could everyone help analyze what the reason is?
