I am currently working on the technical specifications for control valves, with the aim of eliminating unqualified manufacturers and selecting excellent ones based on those technical requirements. I’ve encountered situations where, during the bidding process, bidders claimed to be able to meet all requirements, but many problems arose after actual use. Some of the equipment supplied had insufficient specifications; two or three valve stems broke. Has anyone had experience with this? Could you share your thoughts?
Improve the scrutiny of qualifications, raise the entry barriers, and require more performance examples!
In our last bidding process, almost all the bidders were well-known manufacturers; however, some of them used actuators that were not their own products, and the quality of those actuators was very poor, as they aimed to win the bid at a low price. So this bidding process is really troublesome.
Well, it seems the problem lies with you guys. Winning bids at the lowest price is really not a good idea – it harms the clients, exhausts oneself, and harms competitors as well. If you need fluorine-lined control valves, feel free to contact me; the quality is guaranteed and the price is reasonably favorable: lol
The entry-level products are already well-known; yet they still try to play tricks. In future tenders, the threshold for the quality guarantee deposit will be raised, and in case of quality issues during the warranty period, replacements will be provided free of charge:D
Valve selection from suppliers: Imported valves require equipment manufactured by FISHER/SAMSON/Metso/Borealis/Fuchs or their joint ventures. When specifying filter pressure relief valves/solenoid valves/actuators, it is necessary to clarify the product model. For imported valves, documents such as proof of origin or customs declaration forms must be specified in the technical agreement
It is possible to have in-depth discussions with manufacturers of interest, and specify the manufacturers, specifications, models, materials, and so on for the relevant accessories. You can also ensure that only one company meets the requirements:lol:lol:lol;P;P
When issuing tenders, valve manufacturers recommended should be at the same level; quality must come first, and domestic valves and imported valves should be bid for separately. The manufacturer of the valve actuator should be selected in advance
We have gradually moved in some areas to: paying if used well, and taking it back if not used properly. It’s hard to expect much use from technical agreements; it’s more important to get the process parameters accurate. Choosing well-known, imported brands can help reduce the risks associated with their use.
