As the title says! Do any of you have issues with corrosion in the outlet pipelines of the stripping towers in your production units, and how do you address it?
The stainless steel on my end is also corroded; it’s chloride corrosion
For chloride corrosion, duplex steel should be used. Has there been any analysis of the reasons for the excessive chloride ions?
I was thinking, would it be possible to use pipelines with lining materials?
This depends on what type of corrosion is primarily present. Only corrosion and no scaling? Which chemical company do you work for? Haven’t you used any chemicals such as corrosion inhibitors?
Check the cause of corrosion; it could be chloride ions, HCN, or some other type of corrosion, and appropriate actions need to be taken
