There is a chapter on chemical process design in the registration exam guidelines for chemical engineers; are there any reference books or textbooks available for this chapter? The content includes aspects of chemical process design, the principles and methods of process design (including the optimization of process flow schemes), equipment selection and design, the work procedures for process design, the principles for determining design pressure and temperature for equipment, the establishment of control schemes, energy design and analysis, and so on. It seems this should be a course in chemical engineering processes. Are there any textbooks on this topic? I want to take a closer look at this part; the guide is limited in length and doesn’t go into detail. I searched for some books on chemical process design; most of them provide detailed descriptions of various unit operations. Even the reference lists included in those guides did not contain any books that covered knowledge related to the working methods of chemical engineers, similar to what is discussed in this chapter. Does anyone among the experts know?
